Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee Review

Don’t let the good looks and the affordable price tag fool you, the Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee is nothing more than an inexpensive cigar that taste like a dirty little cheap trick. It assaults the palate early on just to warm you up for the letdown that is lurking around the corner.

If the Connecticut Yankee taught me one thing it is that I should always follow my original intentions. I wanted to smoke one of Rocky Patel’s Vintage 1992 Sixty’s that night but too many hours had already passed and I was vast approaching the screaming voice of an alarm clock that would wake me the next morning. I try my best to be responsible from time to time and I knew that a sixty gauge cigar would eat up too much of my evening.

Victor Sinclair Primeros Review

You know “they” say that lightening never strikes twice, well sometimes “they” just happen to be right. I recently wrote a review on how the Victor Sinclair Vintage Select cigar completely took me by surprise. I wasn’t sure of what to expect from that cigar and its smooth nutty flavor completely blew me away.

I was hoping to have a repeat with the Primeros but unfortunately it just fell a little short. Maybe my expectations were set too high or the shock from the Vintage Select was still trying to wear off, in either case the Primeros unfortunately was not in the same class. Don’t get me wrong the Primeros is still a decent cigar, I was just hoping for more of a home run instead of a base hit.

Victor Sinclair Vintage Select Review

There are some surprises in life that are just outright shocking. I’m not not talking about the rare blessing of discovering that it is steak instead of hamburgers for dinner, it’s much more shocking than that. What I’m talking about is like the revelation you had when you discovered that Playboy really was not about the articles.

Recently, on a whim, I purchased a sampler pack of the Victor Sinclair cigars because I was in the mood to try something new. From the pictures, and yes I know you can’t judge a book by its cover, the cigars looked great.
